Pete's place

Peters stone house in Co. Cork, Ireland. He has done phenomenal work on this house. It was a stone shell when he bought it. He put a roof on, floors in, staircase, windows, an aga (a warm blue beast) and a black square stove whose chimney noses up behind a black bog-oak lintel, giving the whole the appearance of a giant ghostly anvil.
For over a hundred and fifty years its walls have been lashed by the wind and rain that roll in from the Atlantic. This day was one of a spell that brought intense rains and very low cloud, fog, in effect. Neighboring Clonakilty was flooded, putting cars and houses underwater for days.
